Lancaster's history can be traced back thousands of years and has so much to offer, from castles and museums, where Lancaster's past comes to life, to great shopping, entertaining theatre and swish eateries.

Update! Lancaster Tourist Information Centre is pleased to be moving into the new Storey Creative Industries Centre just across the road from our current Castle Hill location.

The new Visitor Information Centre will open in February 2009, offering a wide range of local and regional information in newly refurbished contemporary surroundings.

We're looking forward to working alongside the other tenant partners, LitFest , Luneside Studios and Storey Gallery to offer modern and creative interpretation of Lancaster, its heritage and the surrounding area.

We will also still offer a wide range of travel and transport information, event and accommodation booking and gifts and souvenirs for sale.

We hope to celebrate the opening of our new Visitor Information Centre in conjunction with British Tourism Week in March 2009.
